Most people want neat houses. As a result, they are willing to pay a lot of money for cleaning equipment. However, unless they are getting a vapor steam cleaner, they are wasting their time. Only vapor steam cleaners have the capacity to sanitize and freshen an area at the same time.

How does a vapor steam cleaner work?

Vapor steam cleaners work just as you would expect. A hot mist is released to help deep-clean an area. This mist helps loosen most of the hidden dirt that gets trapped underneath your carpet’s fibers. And, once this dirt reaches the surface, it gets suctioned up by the vacuum. When your cleaning is finished, you have to empty out the reservoir tank if you want to use the vacuum again. The reservoir tank will contain dirt and water.

The benefits continue on, especially when you think about sanitation. Since vapor steam cleaners use hot water for vacuuming, each cleaning session kills harmful bacteria. And, since everything is suctioned up, no residue gets left behind. This is not the case with chemical-based cleaners, which usually have to be left in for awhile before getting vacuumed up.

In fact, the heat in vapor steam cleaners is so powerful, you do not need chemicals to sanitize you carpet. A gallon or two of water will do the trick, provided that you clean for at least 60 minutes. During this time, the broiler within the steam cleaner will work overtime distributing heat and pressure throughout the machine.

As the broiler continues working, it will heat the water up so fast that it gets discharged as a dry mist. This mist will only contain around 5 percent water, but it will still be very effective at collecting dirt. This is because the heat will end up taking over.

For safety concerns, many vapor steam cleaners come equipped with special safety caps. With these caps, you cannot refill the machine until after it cools off. This prevents the possibility of getting burned while the boiler is heating up any leftover water. The same is also true during your vacuuming. You will never have to worry about the steam getting on your hands, because the cap will keep it housed in the right place.

However, this is not to say that there are not machines that allow continuous refilling. With these cleaners, a different type of design is used to achieve safety.

In conclusion, if you want your home to smell clean and fresh, you definitely should get a vapor steam cleaner. While they may look like a traditional vacuum cleaner, their methods of cleaning are much more effective. Regular vacuums use ONLY suction to draw in dirt, but vapor steam cleaners use suction AND water. This combination draws in virtually anything that could be lurking in your carpet.
